    Daifuku America Corporation is a leader in Design, Manufacturing, Installation and Support of automotive automation/material handling systems in North America. The company is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for the facility in Reynoldsburg, OH.


    The primary goal is satisfying customer requirements of quality, quantity, and delivery, in a safe manner, while maximizing productivity. Specifically, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for all job activities required to support production processes. These activities include but are not limited to: Maintaining production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment; Performing general preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, equipment and grounds; Utilizes several trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, heating and cooling. This is a hands-on job.


    Other responsibilities:

    • Perform assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance
    • Complete maintenance and repair records as required
    • Review assigned work orders. Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair
    • Communicate with vendors and order necessary materials/supplies to complete all tasks
    • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, straightedges, etc.
    • Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems to include: plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, drains, office, shop, HVAC, etc.
    • Maintain lighting systems throughout the facility, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps
    • Maintain grounds of facility if needed
    • Perform carpentry, furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed
    • Perform Preventative Maintenance on equipment and facility equipment
    • Follows all plant safety guidelines, practices and procedures. Also, be aware of activity in the work surroundings and maintain a clean and safe work area
    • Properly use personal protective equipment when required
    • Maintain regular attendance – have reliable means of transportation
    • Perform other tasks as assigned


    Prior manufacturing experience is highly preferred. Any technical or vocational education/training in relation to skills listed below is also desirable.

    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, wiring schematics, blueprints and procedure manuals
    • Ability to troubleshoot and repair high/low voltage electrical equipment
    • Experience troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical equipment (up to 480V, 3-phase)
    • PLC Troubleshooting experience
    • PM Optimization
    • Basic computer skills and SAP knowledge preferred

    • Manlift(JLG), Forklifts and Overhead crane experience preferred (in-house training available)
    • Proven problem-solving abilities
    • Must be adaptable to change
    • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
    • Team player - must be able to work with others
    • Must have and maintain a high sense of urgency to meet and exceed all production goals


    • Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching and twisting throughout shift
    • Attentive to detail watching for material defects and any quality issues
    • Capable of repetitively lifting 25-50 lbs.
    • Candidates must be flexible to work overtime as needed, which may include weekends and/or holidays


    Work Environment

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to dirt/dust, heat/cold, fumes/odors, vibration and wetness
    • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud but tolerable


    Education and Experience Technical Degree or equivalent - preferred/highly desirable

    MUST HAVE a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in industrial manufacturing maintenance

    Steel Toe Shoes/Boots

    Specialty Maintenance tools required (Multi-meter, Industrial wrenches, etc…)
