Title: Operations Support Manager

Reports To: Regional Operations Manager

FLSA Status:   Exempt

 

Work Schedule:   Core business hours M-F

 

 

 

 

 


POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for ensuring successful site operational support by providing timely training, operational assistance, coaching, and guidance to achieve safety results, customer satisfaction, and employee satisfaction while maintaining quality standards and meeting operational, financial, and training goals. This position will report to the Regional Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Safety: Empower a world class culture where “Safety is Our Core”
  • Team Support: Support the enhanced training of site leadership and their technician teams to execute strategies and manage site-level operations, focusing on team safety, development, and performance.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure safe, cost-effective, and high-availability operations and maintenance program across a geographically dispersed distribution network.
  • Performance Monitoring: Support the achievement of individual site objectives to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, people, quality, output, and cost.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with OSHA regulations and company safety policies, working closely with safety leaders at each site.
  • Operational Support: Support operational oversight for an organization of over 800 employees across 50+ locations in key regions of the United States.
  • Engagement: Foster strong employee and customer engagement through regular on-site presence and effective use of virtual communication.
  • Leadership Growth and Development: Contribute to leadership discussions on business operations, people management, financial planning, and customer engagement.
  • Long-term Planning: Assist in executing long-term goals that align with the company’s vision, directing workflow methods and processes as needed to achieve objectives.
  • Problem Solving: Develop solutions to complex operational challenges and manage external contractors while being on call for emergencies.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects and activities concurrently, ensuring deadlines are met and departmental goals are achieved.
  • Budget Management: Assist in reviewing, monitoring, and adjusting site budgets effectively.
  • Performance Feedback: Provide constructive feedback to enhance individual performance, including providing input for performance appraisals and addressing disciplinary matters.
  • Employee Mentorship: Inspire and motivate employees to achieve their professional goals, consistently encouraging them to exceed expectations.
  • Project Planning: Plan, develop and implement systems and procedures to ensure the operating quality, environmental compliance, and safety of assigned sites.
  • Perform additional duties/assignments as may be required by leadership.

Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within the service industry.
  • Demonstrated success in leading geographically dispersed, high-volume multi-site, operations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and project management capabilities.
  • Proven analytical skills to identify and respond to short- and long-term organizational trends.
  • Ability to navigate a fast-paced, evolving work environment.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule as required.
  • Must be self-directed, be able to work independently and drive a proactive plan to achieve success within the role.
  • Advanced knowledge of airport operations and maintenance.
  • Basic knowledge of State and Federal Employment laws.
  • Ability to pass required background checks.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the employer’s insurance policy.
  • Ability to travel up to 75%.

 

 

 

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to identify project risks, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks.
  • Strong administrative, communication and leadership skills and abilities, including verbal and written communication, judgment, organizational development, coaching and counseling.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Office environment which may sometimes be in a shop area. May be around dust, dirt, moving machinery, temperature changes and noise levels below OSHA minimum requirements. Use of PPE is required when on site at a field location.
