Position Summary:

This Safety Coordinator- Intern position is to support the Safety Team in completing necessary procedures such as LOTO procedures and JHAs. 

Ideal candidate:

• Local to the Northwest Indiana area. Relocation or housing is not provided for this internship.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. Sponsorship is not provided for this internship.
• Internship Duration is May 19, 2025 to August 15, 2025

• Compile all data to complete LOTO procedures.  

• Develop LOTO procedures for review. 

• Perform LOTO reviews with authorized employees. 

• Review all existing JHAs for accuracy and make necessary changes. 

• Compile all data on all routine tasks. 

• Develop JHAs as per company standards.  

• In process of attaining a Bachelors Degree in Environment, Health, and Safety or similar discipline.
• Completion of 2 years of degree (Junior or Senior)
• Ability to use all Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge of CFR 1910.147
• Abiltiy to observe and determine proper PPE for specific tasks.
• Knowledge of CFR 1910.132-140 and all subparts for this standard.  

Pay Rate*: $20.00/hour
