The Inside Sales Coordinator is responsible for supporting the sales efforts and strategies within the sales department, and collaborates frequently with Engineering, Manufacturing, Accounting, Shipping, and Purchasing departments. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist with technical presentations of material handling solutions to customers.
  • Determine customer requirements, assist Estimating group, and prepare proposals.
  • Respond professionally and promptly to customer concerns and questions.
  • Participate in meetings, projects, and activities in support of company and team goals.
  • Perform timely bid submittals and follow up.
  • Assist with the development of project bid status reports and ensure compliance with all specifications and contract Statements of Work and Bid Invitations.
  • Assist with the preparation of cost estimates to meet customer proposals, providing consideration for general and special conditions.
  • Prepare scope specifications and requirements, prepare and inputs project schedules, perform quantity take-offs, prepare cost summary sheets, and input quantities into estimating software.
  • Review Company jobs and compare on a timely basis to as-sold estimates to confirm accuracy of estimate.
  • Utilize the appropriate company and industry historical data for pricing estimates.
  • Maintain proficiency in relevant knowledge skills and in the use of equipment applicable to the position.
  • Establish and forward new sales opportunities from inbound inquiries to the correct sales representative.
  • Hold clarification discussions, and gather any subsequent information and questions required for a thorough proposal.
  • Review terms and conditions, payment terms, warranty requirements, and other unusual and significant requirements.
  • Participate and help facilitate internal plant tours with prospective and existing clients.
  • Initiate and assist with new marketing plans and monitor and improve existing marketing plans (brochures, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Follow up with customers to ensure expectations have been exceeded.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 2 years of experience in a sales role, preferably related to mechanical design in the industrial automation field.
  • Basic knowledge of Salesforce and AutoCAD Mechanical a plus.
  • Intermediate skill with Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • An understanding of manufacturing, fabrication, and machining processes.
  • Enjoy working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work under pressure with time constraints.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
