Responsibilities

Responsibilities

This position provides technical support for Regional Sales Managers, Distributors, Inside Support Staff and Customers on chain conveyor products and applications. This position reports to the Manager of Product Sales as part of the sales team that contributes to the success of the department and Company.

 

Other responsibilities

  • Review, validate and improve monorail and P&F chain conveyor system layouts
  • Perform component take-offs, prepare estimates and quantify material requirements for P&F and monorail chain conveyor systems
  • Provide support / assistance on technical issues including problem solving
  • Assist in the preparation of proposal documentation including: Scope-of-Work documents, RFQ's, Sequence-of-Operations, proposal clarifications, etc.
  • Prepare chain pull calculation using manual methods and CP-Plus
  • Interface with clients to collect the necessary data/information for system development
  • Assist in the management of high-level project orders

  • This position includes periods of telephone-intensive work and may require sitting for long periods of time.
  • When required, this position could include outside travel to customers’ premises (this can be auto or air travel).

Education and Experience

  • The candidate needs, at minimum, an associate degree in a technical field.  A Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree is preferred. Related work experience will be considered.
  • Additional experience to include three (3) years of experience with chain conveyor products, and a minimum of one (1) year system estimating experience.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.
  • AutoCAD – Navigational knowledge in AutoCAD preferred.
  • Microsoft Office - Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Math skills - High school algebra, trigonometry, and geometry
