Jr. Application System Analyst

Daifuku North America, a group company of Daifuku in Japan - the largest material handling company in the world. The company is currently seeking a Jr. Application Systems Analyst.

Position Summary/ Primary Purpose

The Jr. Application System Analyst will assist in the maintenance and optimization of software applications. They will work closely with the IT team to troubleshoot issues, implement updates, and ensure the smooth operation of company systems.

Major Areas of Responsibility

• Provide support for application incidents and problems.
• Assist in the development and implementation of new software applications.
• Collaborate with senior analysts to understand system requirements and features.
• Document application processes for maintenance and upgrades.
• Participate in the testing and deployment of application updates.
• Produce application documentation and user training materials.
• Help train end users to operate new or modified programs, reports and analytic tools.
• Help monitor, maintain and administer various business applications

Knowledge

• Understanding of software development life cycle.
• Familiarity with database management and data analysis.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as SQL, Java, or Python is a plus.
• Knowledge of computer programming concepts and languages with the ability to read and understand basic code
• Basic understanding of business analysis and system design best practices
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Visio.
• Basic knowledge of hardware, network and operating systems

Education & Experience

• Typically requires an associate’s degree computer science, information systems, or a related field
• 0-2 years of experience in application or system analysis.

Demonstrated Physical Abilities

Remain stationary for 50% of the time; move/traverse throughout the office to access file cabinets and office equipment; operate a computer and other productivity machinery; inspect documents; communicate with others through talking/hearing; read/identify/assess forms and correspondence.
