Responsibilities

The Painter position is responsible for set up, clean up, and operation of painting equipment, proficient quality finishes, and visually inspecting parts to ensure they meet all required specifications.

 

  • Prep, clean, grind, sand and fill steel, stainless steel, and aluminum products.
  • Mixing, matching, and applying paint to various surfaces, completing touch-ups, and coordinating large painting projects.
  • Moving parts with low bar through the process.
  • Maintains paint and coating supplies.
  • Adjusts sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of spray to accomplish desired finish.
  • Fixing and re-painting when required.
  • Follows all plant safety guidelines, practices, and procedures. Also, be aware of activity in the work surroundings and maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Properly use personal protective equipment when required.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years experience as a painter or similar role.
  • Intermediate experience and knowledge of blueprint reading.
  • Experience with forklifts and overhead crane preferred.
  • Ability to work within a team environment and communicate effectively with others.
  • Ability to inspect parts with a high level of detail for material defects and any quality issues.
  • Ability to repetitively lift 25-50 lbs.
