Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The Field Solutions and Implementation Manager is responsible for leading and/or assisting with new business launches, stabilizing existing operations, fill in for site leadership roles and service contract auditing. 

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Accountable for compiling and reporting the status of the operations to multiple stakeholders. This includes assessing the operations, auditing, gap analysis with recommendations for improvement, implementation and managing the operation until stabilization.   
  • Escalating concerns and gaps as needed to the proper stakeholder(s).
  • Assisting and/or delivering on prescribed Launch/Start-up methods.
  • Reviewing launch lessons learned and refinement of the launch program through means of continuous improvement.
  • Creating or assist with creating standard work for the Launch Program and operations.
  • Assist with and/or manage launch/start-up of multiple maintenance operations throughout DSUS.
  • At times will need to dig in and fill the role of a Site Leaders whereby performing the tactical responsibilities of that role to include but not limited to the below:
    • Managing the training of Site Leaders, Technicians and other personnel to ensure minimum essential skill sets are attained prior to site launch.
    • Leading new management through the start-up of a site and ensuring that the site is fully staffed, trained, on boarded, and set up for success by the targeted launch dates.
    • Following through post launch to ensure the site is transitioned to the Regional Manager (sustainability team) seamlessly.
    • Ensuring alignment with site operations management, and other key stakeholders to ensure the site is launched efficiently and effectively.
    • Stepping in where necessary to provide coverage in the absence of Site Leadership.

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline,
  • 5+ years of project management experience.
  • 5+ years of maintenance operations experience.
  • Extensive Microsoft Office experience.
  • Ability to travel to various North American locations is required.

 

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Project Management experience.
  • Auditing experience is a plus.
  • Prior experience or use of Lean/Six Sigma.
  • Prior experience in training and development.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge in project development methodology, clear verbal and written communication skills, has the ability to handle daily activities in a dynamic environment and drive deliverables.
  • Ability to identify project risks, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks.

Computer Skills:

Basic Requirements:

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Contract redline/tracking, Power Point), E-Mail, scanning and copying equipment.

Other Physical Requirements:

• Lift and move totes up to 49 pounds each
• Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head
• Occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds during site visits
• Engage in full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists
• Walking in the FC and around area with great frequency; facilities are over a quarter mile in length
• Ability to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation
• Ability to work in construction /distribution environments that may be noisy, unlit, unheated, not air-conditioned
• Continual standing and/or walking an average of 5 miles daily
• Able to access all areas of building (ascending and descending ladders, stairs, etc.)

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Varies between an office environment as well as all areas located in a airport environment. May be around dust, dirt, moving machinery, temperature chances and noise levels below OSHA minimum requirements. Use of PPE required.
