The Quality Control Technician works in the Quality Control department to perform quality assurance activities in compliance with the WCM Quality manual and ISO procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform receiving inspection on supplied components to insure they conform to specifications
  • Perform gage calibrations for the facilities measuring and inspection equipment
  • Perform manufacturing process audits to ensure their quality control and other related activities meet the quality assurance requirements
  • Perform spot checks and sampling inspections on product to insure they conform to standards
  • Inspect and analyze warranty returns for cause of failure
  • Maintain computer and paper records for assigned activities
  • Create, Maintain, and revision control of documentation and procedures
  • Utilize procedures, check lists, drawings, blue prints, and other work instructions
  • Assist the quality engineer with inputs to implementing corrective actions to non conformities utilizing the CAPA (Corrective and Preventative Action) process.
  • Conducts themselves in a safe, professional, and healthy manner
  • Accomplishes job duties in support of quality goals and objectives

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 6 months as in a quality assurance or quality control position in manufacturing
  • Have worked in an ISO or other formal quality management system environment
  • Proficient in the us inspection gages including but not limited to calipers, micometers, tape measure, protractor, sqaures, torque wrenches, bore gages, and belt tension gages
  • Able to perform math calculations including fractions and decimals
  • Able to read and interpret drawings ; spatial orientation ; dimensioning ; tolerances
  • Organization and detail oriented skills to be able to keep accurate records, logs, and documentation
