Summary

 

Completes sub-assembly and packaging processes according to established operating procedures and engineering and quality specifications. 

Responsibilities

  • Performs sub-assembly based on drawings and supervisor instructions 
  • Follows supervisors instructions of work to be performed 
  • Inspects, operates, and tests completed assemblies and finished product to verify function, quality, and conformance to specifications 
  • Cleans and lubricates parts and assemblies 
  • Maintains personal tool inventory 
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area based on quality goals 
  • Uses computer to record assembly status 
  • Follows safety instructions and rules 
  • Works overtime and assigned shifts as needed 
  • Employees are responsible to comply with all requirements of Daifuku’s QMS policies and procedures.
  • Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction.

 

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred 
  • Minimum of 1 year of machine assembly experience 
  • Ability to read and understand complex assembly drawings and blueprints 
  • Basic computer knowledge 
  • Basic mathematical knowledge, including decimal and fractional equations 
  • Knowledge of standard and decimal measurements, hand tools, and power tools 
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and self-inspection techniques 
  • Good verbal communication skills 
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented 
  • Team orientation
